Nesting and individual-part machining

HOMAG positions the CENTATEQ N-310 as a flexible nesting machine that can also process individual and shaped parts. Current-generation documentation describes five-axis capability, an adaptive stop system and options for expanding material handling. Equipment varies by generation and configuration.

What this means for label selection

The N-310’s mix of nested panels and individual parts makes the production route worth checking before selecting a label template. Confirm which station prints the label and keep printed identifiers consistent with the shop’s downstream process.

CON3 pre-labeling: SRD ILX or SRD ILS

SRD identifies this model in CON3 configuration with SRD pre-labeling as a supported production workflow. It may be equipped with either an SRD ILX or SRD ILS printer. Check the installed printer’s model plate before selecting labels; the CNC model alone does not identify the printer.

Choose the correct label roll

  1. Record the printer model and whether it uses direct thermal media or thermal transfer media with ribbon.
  2. Match label face dimensions, full liner width, core diameter, winding direction and maximum roll diameter to the existing setup.
  3. Confirm the applicator and sensor requirements. For legacy ILX 81/12 systems, check the media-width and orientation guidance, especially for 4 × 2 labels.

Compare 3 × 3 DTL, 3 × 3 TTL, 4 × 2 DTL and 4 × 2 TTL only after matching your configuration. SRD rolls contain 3,000 labels per roll; a box of four contains 12,000 labels.

Ask SRD to check your printer and roll. Send the printer nameplate and current roll details.
